Make your own chain with resin

You can make epoxy resin chains yourself with the help of a suitable silicone mold and our JDiction Epoxy Resin or UV Resin.
The chain is perfect as a special gift for your family and friends.
As epoxy resin jewelry is becoming increasingly popular, in this tutorial we explain how to make a necklace and what is needed for it. Here we go!

You need:

  • JDiction Epoxy Resin (or JDiction UV Resin)
  • JDiction resin colorant
  • Measuring Cups
  • Mixing cup
  • Stir bars
  • Gloves
  • Scattered decorations, glitter, dried flowers etc.
  • Chain with eyelet

Make a resin chain - This is how it works:

Preparation:
Have all the materials ready. Note that we recommend for your materials and workspace to be between 72-85°F.

Step 1: Put on the disposable gloves and mix our JDiction Epoxy Resin according to the instructions in a ratio of 1: 1 by volume. Stir well until no more streaks can be seen (no need to mix when using UV resin).

Step 2: According to the result you want, you can add resin colorant and stir evenly before pouring the resin into the mold;
Or you also can pour the clear resin into the silicone mold, then glitter particles, flowers or pigments according to your taste.

Step 3: After 24 hours the resin has hardened and you can take the pendant out of the mold (if using UV resin, have to cure with under the UV lamp or sunlight).

Step 4: The pendant is ready and can be pulled onto the chain.
